Welcome to the Website of the Catholic Church Communities of St. Anne and Blessed
Dominic and St. Vincent de Paul, respectively in Sutton and Parr, in the St Helens Pastoral Area.
The two Communities merged in 2008 to become one parish in the name of St. Anne and
Blessed Dominic, with a population of 4,000 / 10,000.
Prayer unites us and makes us transcend our specific locations. Through this Website we
hope to reach out to all those we are joined to in our longing for that embracing love of God,
which cannot be contained in any location, as expressed beautifully in the following
confession by an unknown Byzantine Monk 942 – 1022 AD:
“Unable to perceive the shape of you,
I find you all around me.
Your presence fills my eyes with your love,
it humbles my heart for you are everywhere”.
Father Jean Paul Ilunga, Parish priest
